***JRB AIRSIDE RECONFIGURATION & SOP ISSUANCE***
Saker Aviation Services is pleased to announce that the airside reconfiguration of JRB's pier area is now complete and operational. In addition to the TLOF or "H", there are three new takeoff and landing spots (Alpha, Bravo and Charlie) located on the south side of pier. These spots are sized to accommodate aircraft with up to a 45-foot rotor blade diameter and are positioned to ensure that tail rotors are out over the water. All approaches and departures to/from the Heliport will be over the East River, and if weather conditions permit (based upon pilot discretion), approaches and departures to/from spots A, B or C will be to/from the south.
Additionally, Saker Aviation Services has issued Aircraft SOPs that further enhance the heliport's airside safety and operational consistency. It is expected that all JRB users will follow these SOPs at all times unless (per pilot discretion) safety, weather and operational conditions require deviations.
Please visit the ERHC website to download the SOPs and contact Saker Aviation Services at 212 248 7240 should you have any questions or require additional information. Thank you.
